Starting a blog

We launched a blog devoted to the “Stop the Harmful Forms of Prescribed Burning!” international public campaign.

This campaign is a unique in the world. It is the first organized civil resistance to the destructive practice of prescribed burning, which is now spreading in many countries of the world and the development of which is financially lobbied by a powerful industry of prescribed burning.

The campaign was started in the framework of the Prescribed Burning Watch (PBW) community – the growing international community of independent observers of the negative consequences of prescribed burning practice.

1. “Position of the campaign”

It is the first position of the “Stop the Harmful Forms of Prescribed Burning!” international public campaign, which describes the entity of prescribed burning problem in the world, the catastrophic negative consequences of the harmful forms of prescribed burning (which can be defiantly assumed basing on the character of their implementation), the objectives and tasks of the campaign.

The position is also published in the “About” section of the “Prescribed Burning Watch”(PBW) facebook group created to promote the objectives of the campaign. Here can be found the links on the PDF files with the text of the position in English and Russian languages:

2. Invitation to the PBW group

The position of the campaign in PDF and DOCX documents  also contains the invitation to the “Prescribed Burning Watch” (PBW) facebook group, which was created for the development of the “Stop the Harmful Forms of Prescribed Burning!” campaign and Prescribed Burning Watch community. Facebook is one of the main platforms for discussion of this work. In the blog we published this invitation as a separate page – “Invitation to the PBW group”.

3. News of the Campaign
The main objective of the Blog is publication the news of the Campaign and important material.  In the right side panel you can find “News of the Campaign” and “Documents”  sections in the Labels division.
